With the southern hemisphere warming up for the summer season the opposite is happening up top. To finish of the party season there was big festivals all over. One of the biggest would have to have been Creamfields with a ridiculous line up over two days from literally the cream of the crop from every corner of the globe. There were a few Americans there and amognst them was the big Dave Spoon. He played a well rounded set with a balance of not overly commerical crowd pleasers (excluding 'Riverside') such as the Afrojack remix of 'Cool' which has started getting some solid recognition. This paired with some deeper, darker tech tunes which is clearly what he lends to results in a elvoving and entertaining set.

Kill Frenzy, is a relatively new guy on the scene. The young cat from Belgium popped up with his recent and larely successful EP '54321' which is being dropped by big names all over the world. I came across this mix recently when I heard Laidback Luke talking about it. It comprises of a selection of less commerical electro/club/tech tunes. With the inclusion of a few personal re-edits this is a 80 minute mix that isn't overworked.

You may have heard of a young Sydney DJ called CSK OK. He's been doing the rounds for over a year now and is good. Very good. This is a guy that knows music. He toured the country with Snob Scrilla as part of the live band and played keys. More recently the Bang Gang boys have picked this guy up and noticed he's talents. He's been signed to the label and now goes under the name Cassian which is quite simply he's first name.

With a couple of other recent additions to the Bang Gang label there's a compilation in the pipeline which is due for release in early October along with an unmixed disc aswell. Soooo, over the next few weeks the Bang Gangers are releasing a mini mix each week until the drop of the double CD. Last week was Cassian's mix. Only 22 minutes in length this a lil slice of audio brilliance. A collection of funky, disco house style tracks have been seemlessly crafted into a stunning mix. That might sound like it's rather impressive. It is.
