Sneaky Map!

ImageHost.org

Here is the layout if you have not seen it already. Set times later this week, they are probably struggling with the vast amount of people playing. I can tick of Bobmo off the list who I saw on Friday.

He had it all layed out in front of him on his Macbook with an Ableton rainbow of colours. It was a very good show, starting with the Soulwax edit of Chemical Brothers, 'Hey Girl Hey Boy'. The dancefloor thickened immediately. Then he touched all bases for me, Raven, White Knight, Get up, Get get get get get down.

A mix I have been after for ages, quite old now.
Note, this isn't the orginal remix they made which did the rounds it's a rarer more spacey edit.

If you missed Friday and have other people to watch at We Love, check out Bobmo recently on Paris Radio.

Vivid Syndey

Last night a few of us went down to Sydney Harbour's Circular Quay and The Rocks to check out, Vivid Sydney, a festival of music, light and ideas...
The main part of this attraction recieving media coverage and attention is the 'Luminous' light show being displayed on the Sydney Opera House. However, this is only part of the fesitval. There is a full light walk with heaps of smaller light attractions. Another part is Creative Sydney at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Circular Quay offering both a provocative discussion program and a bunch of showcases from the city's emerging creative talents, mainly in fashion.

Producer, artist and pioneer of ambient sound, Brian Eno has been commissioned by Events NSW to curate the inaugural event, which will brings new emerging and established artists together to explore "'music, light and ideas".

I'd highly recommend this to anyone living in Sydney. The festival has already begun and runs through till about the middle of june. For those unlucky punters who don't, here are a few snaps for you.

For more check out VividSydney.com

Miss Mars

This is a new tune from the Japanese kids, the 80kidz. I found it on the latest Kitsune Maison complilation (#7) which was released this week. This track is a gem. I havn't stopped playing it. If this doesn't make you wanna dance or at least put a smile on your face, you're fucked.

P.A.M. Sunglass Collabs

In 2007 street wear label P.A.M. You see, COLAB features a revolving range of well known artists and designers to create some of their eye pieces. This is what the two did when they paired up.

Almost exactly three years later P.A.M.'s lastest sunglasses range have been released. This time in collaboration with Super (Italy) are their 'Basic Shape' sunglasses finished in 2 completely custom colored patterns from P.A.M.'s 'Magic Messages'. Choose from pina green/black with Neo Geo pattern, or sky blue with all over contrast Oiled Marble effect.

Long lost edit!!!!!

Found this in my itunes yesterday. Recently I bought an imac and dumped my two hardrives onto itunes. After many hours of tedious efforts to delete all the double ups I came across this old edit of Switchs remix of Hideaway. It cuts all the shit out and gets to the good parts quicker.

Mix Monday 12

This weeks mix comes from the Canadian disco diva. Im a big fan of this guy for a number of reasons. U-Tern has a great understanding of music and puts together sets of new and old stuff, not necassarily just all lastest popuilar tracks. He's remixes are awesome, often boosting old disco tracks into something with a bit more energy and a whole lot more dancefloor worthy (get his James Brown remix if you don't have it!).

This is a set he did on his radio show over in Can-ahhh-dah a few monthes back. This shows his diversity and also how ontop of his game he is. There's tracks in here I hadn't even heard before and now they're beening played everywhere. Believe it or not, this was the first time I heard Riverside and Touch My Horn!

He helped develop the local dirtybird label with his good friend, Claude VonStroke, releasing several amazing singles and remixes.

Justin considers himself lucky to be making music and is always a humble, but rocking presence on the dance floor. Stay tuned for some amazing new music and remixes this year.

They have been hyped and tipped to be the next hot thing, but these two beat freaks say they will be content with a rumble in the bassbins, a zap in the speakers and nothing less than murder on the dancefloor. But then that’s as likely as George Bush wanting peace in the middle east. Robbie Lowe
Robbie Lowe is undeniably one of Australia’s most talented and respected DJ’s. If an international artist has come through Sydney over the past decade, Robbie has warmed up their dancefloor at least once. If a young DJ has made an impact on the Sydney’s underground house scene over the same time, Robbie may well have given them their start. Robbie has been given props by some of the biggest names in dance music today, that include John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela & Danny Howells. More recently Robbie was the chosen warm up DJ for Tiesto’s Sydney - Elements Of Life Tour - shows. Each was to over 5000 people at The Hordern Pavillion.
